The City of Rockwall Municipal Court is a fine-only court: it hears the Class C misdemeanor and traffic citations written inside the city limits. It is also the one court with the power to recall a warrant it issued, so every step below routes back through it.

One thing trips people up before they ever reach the clerk — the address. The court’s official listing is 2860 State Highway 66, but most phone maps and GPS apps only find the building if you search 2860 Williams Street instead. Same building, two addresses; type the Williams Street version if your navigation comes up empty. Once you are there, the clerk can pull your citation and tell you exactly what the court needs.

Because it is a municipal court, its reach stops at Class C and traffic matters. Anything graded higher — a Class A or B misdemeanor, or a felony — belongs to the Rockwall County courts, not this one. What warrants the Rockwall court issues

A municipal court cannot issue a felony warrant. What the Rockwall Municipal Court does issue ties back to Class C and traffic cases — typically an alias warrant, a capias pro fine, or a warrant that follows a missed setting.
